How does it work?

Clinic escort shifts operate on a call out basis. As soon as a clinic asks for escorts, we’ll send an email out to our incredible volunteers to see who’s available to help out that day (make sure you’re signed up to the escort list – flick us an email to team[at]prochoiceqld.org.au or fill out the form over here and tell us you want to volunteer as a clinic escort).

Then all you have to do is send us a reply email to confirm your spot, and make sure you’ve read the escort guidelines before your shift.

Since these will potentially be late notice (as we’re not always sure when the antis will be there) please don’t stress if you can’t make it, there will be future opportunities to help out!

If we don’t get enough folks from the email blast, we’ll do a social media callout, so stay tuned there too.

Spots are filled on a first in, best dressed basis, so make sure you let us know quickly if you want to help out. We only have limited spots in most cases because we don’t want there to be a crowd of people outside the clinic. We want patients to feel supported, not more vulunerable or conspicuous.

Please sign up to our mailing list over here, so that we can keep you in the loop about all upcoming clinic escort and volunteer opportunities.

You can also follow us on facebooktwitter or instagram to stay up to date about all things pro choice and any other events happening as part of the campaign.
